Drive Unit Pro is professional diagnostic and configuration software for Bosch eBike motors Generation 1 through Generation 4, including Active Line, Active Line Plus, Performance Line, Performance CX, Speed, Cargo, and related variants.

Drive Unit Pro is designed for bike shops, repair and revision specialists, experienced riders, and hobbyists who want to get the most out of their eBike and deliver top-level service to their customers.

What Drive Unit Pro Can Do

With Drive Unit Pro, you can perform advanced service and configuration tasks on Bosch motors, including:

  • Restoring motor configurations when replacing or swapping motors

  • Transferring settings from an old motor to a replacement motor

  • Reprogramming wheel sizes (for example from factory-programmed 28” to 16”)

  • Selecting and programming a wide range of wheel sizes and gear types via the menu

  • Adjusting gear ratios and drivetrain configurations

  • Warning: Setting Gear Ratio to 0 removes the legally required speed limitation. This may render the vehicle non-compliant for use on public roads. The user confirms that this setting is applied exclusively for use on private property and accepts full legal responsibility for its use.

  • Modifying eBike ID, model year, and brand when replacing a motor

  • Changing lighting configurations

  • Reading, diagnosing, and clearing error codes

  • Configuring walk assist as a throttle (useful for elderly riders or steep terrain)

The tool is lightweight, fast, and easy to use, allowing you to provide service at a factory-level standard.

How Drive Unit Pro Licensing Works

Drive Unit Pro can be used in three different ways, depending on your needs:

1️⃣ Serial Number Registration ( This service is no longer offered. )

You register the motor serial number (from the sticker on the motor).
Once registered, you can use Drive Unit Pro unlimited on that specific motor.

  • Each serial number is valid permanently

  • Connecting a different motor requires registering an additional serial number

2️⃣ Credit System ( This service is no longer offered. )

With the credit system:

  • One credit is used when connecting a motor with a new serial number

  • The serial number then remains permanently registered

  • Credits are deducted automatically from your account

This option is ideal for flexible, pay-per-use workflows.

3️⃣ License System (Unlimited Use)

With a license:

  • No serial numbers need to be registered

  • Drive Unit Pro works immediately on any supported motor

  • Unlimited use during the license period

Available licenses:

  • 12 months

  • Lifetime license

Within the Netherlands, our services are available exclusively to business customers holding a valid Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration and actively operating within the two-wheeler industry or a related professional sector.

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to refuse, suspend, or terminate access to our services if these conditions are not met.
